Who is she?

If you haven't heard of her, that's a shame.

She is a Japanese singer, dancer and (slight) actress. So basically, a triple threat. Because of her shy nature, she is considered a "rare" type of celebrity. But her shyness is overpowered by her strength to succeed and her love of performance.

With a 15 year career, she started of with singing Eurobeat and Pop music. But that did not reflect her want to sing the R&B Genre. As her albums and singles exploded into the scene, she became immensely popular and looked up to. One of her acheivements is to be the first female soloist to perform in the CHIBA MARINE Stadium in Japan. Her most successful Albums during that period was "Concentration 20" and "Genius 2000" both of which were influenced by R&B but were still a little "pop"-y. Her most succesful single was a ballad: "CAN YOU CELEBRATE?" A lovely song that has made her cry (unintentionally) on stage many times. It was during this time where she starred in a movie: "That's Cunning? Shijo no Sakusen?" (title is probably wrong)

After her rapid rise to fame she quickly announced her marriage to choreographer/dancer/label-mate: SAM of TRF. She also was pregnant. This is when her popularity waned and Hamasaki Ayumi was given the chance to blossom.

She came back after her pregnancy dealing with the brutal murder of her mother (by her own brother in law) and almost decided to retire but came back for her fans. It was during this time when her sales were the lowest but also the time where she had started to songwrite.

In about 2002 she fully immersed herself in the R&B genre collaborating with AI, VERBAL, ZEEBRA among many others creating her first real R&B album. It was made under the group name "SUITE CHIC". Apparently, that was when she came closest to what she wanted to really do.

In 2005, She started to make her comback with the album "Queen of Hip-Pop" and finally in 2007 had her first #1 Album in over 5 Years with the awesome album "PLAY"

"Sexy Girl" is alright. Nice intro but a little to repetitive in my opinion. I hope the video kicks ass!

^^ "Do me more" is SUCH A GOOD SONG! FORGET THE TITLE! ^^ Never gets boring! She doesn't sound desperate at all (which is what I thought it would sound like.) I can't get enough!

Unless it's released during christmas, she shouldn't put "White Light" on it. That's what I think. I CAN'T WAIT TO LISTEN TO "Do me more" and "Sexy girl" But I don't like the name of the songs though.

Even though "Darling", "WANT ME WANT ME", "STROBE", "HIDE & SEEK", the list goes on... were a little adult in nature, they didn't have such derrogatory names as "Do me more" >< I hope the song makes up for it...
